PoopBags.com's June 2009 Newsletter
Wow! What props! The PoopBags.com Legion loved the message in our latest e-mail newsletter and asked us to
share it with the whole wide world. We are happy to accommodate and hope this brings much change for the
betterment of this world.
Preface: the bossman wrote this after a couple of experiences he recently had.
The first experience happened a couple weeks ago, my friends and I went
boating on Lake Michigan. We were cruising along, way off shore, and I was
amazed how the color of the water changed, the scene grew more quiet and
peaceful. It was like going back into time, to a place still untouched by man.
All of a sudden, I noticed something in the water... it was a silver, Mylar plastic
balloon and string floating in the water. Then a few minutes later, I spotted
second one. Part of me felt a sadness seeing them floating along in the clear
and clean water. Another part of me managed to dig up a sense of pride
knowing that PoopBags is helping many other folks make a contribution by
eliminating plastic from their lives.

The second experience is tied to the
terrible news about Air France Flight 447
that crashed into the Atlantic a couple
of weeks ago. The Brazilian military first
reported finding the wreckage only later
to withdraw their findings because it
was actually trash floating in the ocean.
This really made me think deeply... I
personally believe that we need to find
some good in any situation – no matter
how terrible it was – so I pondered how
I could find some good from this.
I know I'm preaching to the choir because you've
ordered from PoopBags.com and are doing your part to
eliminate plastic bags at the source. Since I see us as a
team, I thought that I would provide you with
information to share with your friends, coworkers and
family who are on the cusp of converting, have ignored
or forgotten the environment these days. Help them
help all of us, our kids and the generations to come so
all of us have a better planet to enjoy.
Greetings PoopBaggers!

So we started looking into these toxic dumps
that are killing our oceans and we were
shocked as to what we found... The Great
Pacific Garbage Patch is the world's largest
floating dump. It extends from California to
China and measures over 10 million square
miles. The waste is estimated at 3.5 million
tons of junk and 80% of it is plastic. Since
plastic photodegrades and resembles plankton,
fish then eat it. Birds, particularly albatrosses,
eat bottle caps and other pieces of plastic
which blocks their digestive tracts.
Here are a few resources to show you what we are talking about:
Please feel free to share this with your friends, relatives, neighbors, politicians and media outlets. Together,
we can get the word out and we can all become responsible caretakers of the planet we share.
All the best!
